Confidentiality Policy

All information shared in your sessions is held in strict confidentiality – as in I’ll take it to the grave with me. The ONLY exception is where I am required to comply with the Ethical Limitations to Confidentiality (i) when disclosure is required to prevent clear and imminent danger to yourself or others; (ii) when legal requirements demand that confidential material be revealed; (iii) when a child is in need of protection.

Scheduling/Cancellation Policy

Coaching sessions are conducted by phone, Skype or Zoom and are scheduled between 10 am and 4 pm PST Monday to Thursday with evening session availability Tuesday and Wednesday to 6 pm Pacific time using my online scheduler. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please do so with a minimum 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and no-shows will be deducted from our time together as a session used.

To reschedule your Private Coaching Session click the link to my online scheduler IN THE SESSION CONFIRMATION OR SESSION REMINDER EMAIL you received. This will take you immediately to that scheduled session where you are able to reschedule it up to 48 hours before the session. If you need any assistance or are not able to find another available time email me at jodiscottcoaching@gmail.com.

Refund Policy

Coaching is a cumulative process and requires an intentional commitment. Please be sure you are ready to make this commitment TO and FOR yourself. If you are uncertain, a single 90 Minute Deep Dive Session is recommended, as the 3 Month Be Who You Want, Get What You Want Coaching Program is reserved for those ready to create real, significant and lasting change where a full commitment of the 3 months is necessary for change to occur. So please purchase wisely as I hold my clients accountable out of their own best interest and benefit. As such refunds are not given.

Re-Publishing Policy

If you read something on my site that resonates with you – like a blog post – and you want to re-publish it, I’m honored to share my work! Here at jodiscottcoaching.com we adhere to the Golden Rule – do unto others as you’d have them do on to you. My classes and workshops are safe, positive, and encouraging spaces where every student takes a vow to treat others with the same kindness, respect and confidentiality they want to receive.

Coaching is not a replacement for psychotherapy, legal counsel, or medical advice. I am a Life Coach and educator, if I believe it is in your best interest to seek the assistance of other specialists, I will advise you of this. What data we collect about you, for what purpose and how we may process it

When you visit our website, we may collect basic information that does not identify individual users. The information may include the specific pages that are visited on our website, the page that referred you to our website, and some information about your browser and Operating System type. This information does not include any personally identifiable information.

Personally identifiable information such as email addresses, names, home addresses, photographs, etc., will not be collected unless you willingly and voluntarily submit such information to us. When you purchase any of our products or services, only the information fields that you fill out are stored and sent to us.

Personal data means any information capable of identifying an individual.

The various offers, both free and paid, downloads, registration forms, and surveys found on our website may ask you to provide us with your contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, demographic information such as your age and gender, and personal preference information and interests, in order to provide you with the material requested.

You may opt out of providing that information, and your data can always be removed from an email list by unsubscribing (we will then remove you from the list and delete all your information), or your data can be updated by clicking the ‘Edit Preferences’ link in any email you receive from us. We use MailChimp to collect personal information you’ve opted to give. Their privacy policy can be found here.

When you submit a question via our online form, your email address allows us to reply to you and answer your questions, however we do not store that information and will never add it to our email lists – you must expressly opt in to our email lists. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to save your name, email address and website utilizing cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. We will never sell personally identifiable information to third parties. We do not control and are therefore not liable for the actions of any third parties.

It is only with your express permission that we will use your contact information to send you information about our products and services. You must choose to opt in, and you always have the choice to opt out of receiving future electronic mailings.

By providing us with your data, you warrant to us that you are over 18 years of age.

We may process the following categories of personal data about you:

Communication Data that includes any communication that you send to us whether that be through the contact form on our website, through email, text, social media messaging, social media posting or any other communication that you send us. We process this data for the purposes of communicating with you and for record keeping.

Client Data that includes data relating to any purchases of goods and/or services such as your name, title, billing address, email address, delivery address, phone number, contact details, purchase details and your card details. We process this data to supply the goods and/or services you have purchased and to keep records of such transactions.

User Data that includes data about how you use our website and online services together with any data that you post for publication on our website or through our online services. We process this data to operate our website and ensure relevant content is provided to you, to ensure the security of our website, to maintain back-ups of our website and/or databases and to enable publication and administration of our website, online services and business.

Technical Data that includes data about your use of our website and online services such as your IP address, your login data, details about your browser, length of visit to pages on our website, page views and navigation paths, details about the number of times you use our website, time zone settings and other technology on the devices you use to access our website. The source of this data is from our analytics tracking system. We process this data to analyse your use of our website and other online services, to administer and protect our business and website, to deliver relevant content and promotions to you and to understand the effectiveness of our offers and programs. Marketing Data that includes data about your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences. We process this data to enable you to partake in our promotions and services. We deliver relevant website content and promotions to you and measure the effectiveness of this content and promotion to understand how our customers use our products and services so that we can maintain customer satisfaction and growth in our business services.

We use Customer Data, User Data, Technical Data and Marketing Data to: deliver relevant website content and promotions to you.

Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information

We may disclose an individual’s personally identifiable information in certain instances where we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to, or interference (either intentionally or unintentionally) with our rights or property, or to other users of our website, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

Payment Information

We do not store any credit card information we receive in regards to a specific transaction and/or billing arrangement except as necessary to complete and satisfy such transaction, billing arrangement, and/or otherwise authorized transaction by a user.

We use a payment processor and therefore do not have access to such information. We are not responsible for what happens to your data after you visit third party sites (PayPal, etc).

Sensitive Data

We do not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive Data refers to data that includes details about your:

race or ethnicity
religious or philosophical beliefs
sexual orientation
political opinions
genetic data

Our website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you.
